Montezuma May 13, 1985 - Bernice Causey Manwaring, 93 , of rurual Montezuma died 4:30 a.m. Monday at Castle Shannon Nursing Home, Rockville. She was born August 16, 1891 in Burden, Kansas daughter of William and Martha Ellen James Canine. She was a former school teacher and member of Thimble Twisters Club, Linebarger Chapel, past regent and 50 year member of Estabrook DAR. Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Morgan, Montezuma and Jane Walter, Bloomingdale; two sons, Max Causey, Montezuma and Charles Causey Syracuse, Ind. Two brothers, Edgar Canine, Parke County Nursing Home; Reid Canine, Pomona California, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home in Montezuma with Rev. John Swaim officiating. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 today at the Funeral Home.
